Intertidal and Wetland Ecology marsh modules

Today was wet and muddy! We explored the soil, vegetation, temperature, and sweet sulfuric aroma of the saltmarsh head-on (literally head-on, as we entered via the crouch-to-belly-flop technique). The other main attraction was wading through an intertidal zone, an ever-changing habitat for diverse communities of organisms—including this curious species we know as eighth graders!

And of course what is the perfect way to end a great day...SMORES!
